I'd been playing MotoGP 2009 earlier, so maybe the Duff was envious of my Valentino Rossi victory wheelie?
Tried it again, tonight, same place, same speed, same everything -- worked as it should and no Alvaro Bautista impression...

Hi Mark, yes it is, matealmark wrote:Is that my mail scenario Wikkus? Looks like the same loco and stock? What the hell is going on there then!!!?
No freakin' idea at all as to what went wrong. Did it from scratch exactly the same last night, no bother whatsoever :s
Nice scenario and nicer still to be able to thrash a Duff with Richards superb ArmstrongPowerhouse and Mk1 coach sounds

Re: HD - British Space Programme takes a new turn.
I remember something similar happening to me with my class 60 scenario every now and then if I took a particular bend too fast around Southall, I think it was...
It might have to do with the physX engine...
Funny thing is it hasn't happened to me with your scenario, Mark, and I drove at full speed almost all the way... (?!)
Manuel
PS: After checking the video again, I must say it was exactly the same spot where it happened to me (!)

Hehe, I was originally going to post the exact same clip but wanted to keep my bike theme (meme?) goingDarpor wrote:Maybe it had the same problem as this car?

Y'know, Manuel, come to mention it, I had a similar experience with your 60 scenario and like this weird 'flight', it too was at Hanwell. In the case of your scenario, it was at the end of the platform here that I had my derailment. I assumed I was going a bit too fast and tried it again a bit slower.msdejesus wrote:![]()

I wondered that, too. Have you got an Nvidia-based machine? Is it set up to handle PhysX for you on the GPU?It might have to do with the physX engine...
Mine currently isn't, because I found it to be too big a hit on framerate. I've since updated to the newest drivers which included a PhysX update. Hmm...
Well, me either the second time I tried -- I even tried over-speeding (the Duff will only get up to 93.6Funny thing is it hasn't happened to me with your scenario, Mark, and I drove at full speed almost all the way... (?!)
Weird.

Yes to both questions, I didn't know there was a performance hit for enabling PhysX acceleration on the GPU...Wikkus wrote:

I updated Nvidia drivers recently, by the way: 8.16.11.9107 (27 Sept 2009)

Sorry to bring up a new thread but I'm experiencing this derailment myself at Hanwell viaduct in exactly the same fashion as shown in the video!
Re: HD - British Space Programme takes a new turn.
Maybe it was Pedrosa's flip doing a practice start that was the inspirationWikkus wrote:Nooo idea at all, my friendbuckbeak wrote:Hehe...wonder how that happenedThink they should come issued with Parachutes now
