Custom Station Name Boards
Would it be possible to create a blank board template in each of the different styles i.e. Oxford - Padd, Bath - Temp etc where you can double click on them and enter the name you want? because you can do it with the trains running numbers. It would be so much better and easier for route creation. Maybe taking the method RS.C used to add customisable running numbers and implement it into the staiton signs.

Or i had an idea where if you put the platform marker on and name it correctly it should change the station signs in that area or something like that or just make it so you can name a station platform and anything nameboard type thing will automaitcally change.
Either way it would be usefull.

That is also a good idea which should be looked into... Even if RS.C don't think its worth doing maybe a member of the community could pull it off, who knows

You might want to take a look at UKTSID 18757 - not sure if that is what you are after in the meantime perhaps ? I agree though it would be a useful addition to be able to edit them in game.
All of signs on this image are made with that kit and look stunning on the platforms too

I want this too!! An easy way to put station names into the game. It's way too messy right now to the point where I've abandoned naming my stations.

Hi
I did some tutorials some time ago for creating your own signs - http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... eate+signs
It is a bit long winded but it does work if you do not have 3D canvas.
It would be much easier if someone could create an add-on to do this in the same way that RS.com do. They generally use one base shape with a set of letters, and each nameboard is created 'on the fly'.
