Ffestiniog signaling issue

Post by 16mmlaalratty »

Hi everyone, I'm new to train sim and have just brought the Ffestiniog route CD, it runs ok but I'm having a few problems with the signilling
Basically whenever i'm on an down train activity I can't complete the activity because the disc signal for the points at Harbour station is always at danger, and obviously going past it ends the acitivity. I've also had a problem with the 21st Birthday activity with Britomart and running round at Rhiw Goch, the signal for the bottom point is also at danger during running round and won't change, trapping Britomart on the loop as the top end signal has also gone to danger. Anybody know what i'm doing wrong? (I should add that that i'm not particualy good with computers, which is why I bought the disk rather then download)

Have you tried pressing 'Tab' to see if MSTS'll let you pass the signal at danger. Not a solution as such, but it might at least make the activities usable.

I didn't try that as I didn't know which key TAB was on my laptop, as it dosn't say TAB, I found out which one it was thanks to an email from a friend. I'll try it next time I go on the train sim. Presumerbly there is a message on screen that comes up to show that you can pass the signal?

You should hear a voice saying either 'permission granted' or 'permission denied', or words to that affect.
