Can't install Tim Courts' 50035

Post by energize »

Hello all,

I've tried to install Tim Court's 50035: I've extracted the contents of the ZIP file to my desktop, and clicked on the exe. file to try and run it. Even when I've right-clicked it and selected "Run as administrator" it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom

If you are running Vista the file has probably been blocked. Try right clicking the zip file and picking properties. Down in the bottom right hand corner there should be a Block/Unblock set of buttons. Press Unblock. Then go to the security tab and add a new user Everyone with Full Control. Apply that and ok your way out.

Delete the files you have already unzipped and now unzip the zip file again.
Make sure the "Run as Administrator" is still ticked and run the exe file now.
It should now work, provided you have msts installed to the default location on your C drive.

I've followed all of those steps, although in the security tab there appears to be no option to create a new user. Vista still won't let me open it

On the security tab click edit, and then add. Enter the name Everyone in the next box and click ok. In the main security tab you should now have a user called Everyone showing, put a tick in full control, apply it and ok your way out.

I've tried creating a new user called Everyone which applies to the zip file the download comes in. Even when I extract it to the desktop Vista still says I don't have the permission to open this file. The sooner I upgrade to 7 the better!
