In the 80s BR was trying to replace the vacuum fitted service stock by air braked.
They did this by modifying or rebodying surplus traffic vehicles.

This is the HEA coal hopper cut down for dropping ballast.

and as a privately owned stone hopper.

Nice looking wagons - pity they never existed.

They were just a quick edit of the HEA shape.

I was making the BNA nuclear flask barrier wagon by deleting the top half of the hopper and thought it looked nice.

All my stuff is made with TSM.

I keep puting off trying the other programs.

TSM is easier but cannot be used to model for the other sims.

If you are starting from fresh I would recommend 3DCanvas.

Harder but will export to other sims.
