Changing Sound Files.

Post by ThomasTelford »

Hi Folks. :D

I am wondering if anyone could point me in the correct direction as regarding changing sound files?I have just tried to change a sound file by copy and pasting the sound file from 47 831 which has this sound file

"..\\..\\common.sound\\Class_47\\#Class47eng.sms"

into another class 47 locomotive No' 47 007 which had this engine sound file

"d9Eng.sms"

After changing the file as i said by copy and pasting the one line for the said sound file i tried the loco and all is well there's a much more 'realistic' sound to the loco now but for some reason the horn no longer works when outside the train but can be heard from inside the cab. There is another problem and that is now when i go back into my trainsets folder and double click on the file for 47 007 to open it up there does'nt appear to be a file there,i just get a blank page. :(

Any help would be wonderfull!

Regards~ Thomas Telford. :)

Hi Thomas, OK you did the eng sms but what about the cab sms which is further down the eng file:-
comment( fuel_level )
EngineVariables ( 5300 )
Sound ( "d9cab.sms" )
Name ( "Dash 9" )
Description (
Just could be the problem.
