My last train will always be a 317 as that's the only way I can get home.

Come to think of it, I rode 507 on Tuesday.

Re: What was the last train you went on??
I've got a few days off next week and fancy a day trip out.
Two choices . . .
Barmouth and a walk across the bridge or
a route I've driven many times when I have a spare 15 mins or so, Lymington Pier but what are my chances of getting a slammer from Brockenhurst on a scale of 1-10 ?

The 14.10 Mallaig - Fort William Jacobite service hauled by 45407.
I hardly ever ride trains, normally just steam as I don't really go anywhere to far away, and the only place SouthEastern can take me where I'd really want to go is London to get connecting trains to heritage railways, although the Spa Valley can change that, so may be spending some time there.

My next train journey will the relatively short jaunt from Milnrow to Manchester Victoria on 2 October 2009 to visit Manchester MRS show. Combining the trip and exhibition because of course the Oldham Loop ceases running mid October for Metro conversion taking 3 years plus!!!
