Talk of reopening it in the local news as a cycle route. Why not reopen it as a railway says I.

Good luck, nice to see lots of GWR projects in the pipeline. I hope the producers of Railworks take note.

I know it is a shame they doing that. it would be a lovely as a preserved railway, and is such a beautiful places it should have it railway line back up and running. i am hoping with the work i am going making the route will make other people thin that as well. thanks for commenting

Nice screenshots, but to big. 2.5 megabytes is really to big. Try compress to 70-100 kilobytes in JPG format instead PNG format.

Awesome.

When I was a child visiting my grandparents in Ponthir, Wales, they often take me down to Tintern Stations not only to look at the station, the old rolling stock and the like, but also to jump onto the miniature train that I loved back in the 90's.

Great to see someone making a route out of that.

What would you rather? the railway to fall in disrepair, overwhelmed by the vegetation, and disappear from history, or open a cycle route where the line will be kept in good condition for us to enjoy cycling/walking down the old route.

I know I did back in the 90's, it's something nice being able to take your time walking down the old railway than thundering past everything at 30mph.

It's like being in a car, you won't see much scenery going at 30mph, but on a bicycle, not only you'll see much of the scenery, but also feel the gradiuate, the temperature, the smell, etc.

Least it's still exist.
