Basically yes. Most things are now tried and tested but it is up to you which way you do it. You can package them up using the RS package creator and then put the into RW using the package manager, or some things can be just copied over from folder to folder.

Routes MUST be .rpk'd in RS and transferred using the RW Package Manager, or, if you have the original install file then use that.johncas wrote:Thanks so I can just copy the isle of wight route I paid for over and it will work.

In the case of Assets, you can just copy your RailSimulator\Assets folder into the RailWorks\Assets folder EXCEPT for the Assets\Kuju folder.
As there is an Assets\Kuju folder in RailWorks as well as in RS, you have to take steps so that new content in the Railworks\Assets\Kuju folder is not overwritten. You can do this by:-
1. Moving the RW Kuju folder to a temporary place, copying RS Kuju into RailWorks, then overwriting this with the RW Kuju thus replacing any old files with new ones of the same name.
or
2. Copying the RS Kuju folder into the RW Kuju folder using a utility which allows you to 'Skip any files with the same name' so that your new files are not overwritten.
Routes have to be packaged as .rpk files with RS package creator and imported into RailWorks with the RW Package Manager. Or alternatively you can use RW_Tools to copy routes from one to the other.
You should note that I have found many Scenarios which work fine in RS but will fail in RW.

Re: Will Railsim add-ons work with railworks
I'm a little confused, i opened the package creator and used the file in my content/routes folder (i have never done this before), and that went fine i thought. After then installing the package .rpk file with RW tools, it appears in RW but i cannot open it, nor use any of the tracks, loco's, stock etc.
Any ideas, please help
Cheers, Howard

What do you mean by "cannot open it". Can you play the scenarios?
If you cannot place items from these routes using the editor, then most likely you have not clicked the blue cube on the centre left flyout and subsequently selected the Provider and Product on the right-hand flyout.

Re: Will Railsim add-ons work with railworks
How on Earth am I supposed to know which route is the IoW (not trying to sound like I'm gobbing off).
Here's some of the code things of routes I've got on Rail Sim:
0bc4ec38-5ad8-4f67-9159-6b08e1c378c8
0c445890-1a1d-414a-aa85-81022c87f229
3c4ffe80-11f7-4a35-a233-4b9f1a2f4758
3f25c95f-d4b5-43cc-9394-3c35bd9c90e9
04af0aa2-6d71-4608-b058-4626083ec480
That's just a handfull because I've downloaded routes and created some so I haven't a clue which is which.
PLEASE, HELP ME!!
Also, how can you copy activities for the class 66's over to Railworks? I've copied the Voyager over by packaging it in RS and unpackaging it in RW. How do I get the activities on the default routes for it?
