hi, ...

Even with the correct time and weather settings (Sky).
But the transitions between light and dark on the object are actually too hard.
The Prerender Material (Lightmap) saw in Railsimulator much better.

thanks for your help and positive comments guys!

@derek

i think this has nothing to do with the time of day settings. i tried every possible setting, from early morning to evening. :wink:
here is a new screenshot. it's 12 o' clock and fine weather, still no change.

Image

the "trainlightmapwithdiffuse" shadow map is too dark in railworks. the same object with the same textures looks awesome in railsimulator.
i spend more than 1 day to fix this, it's enough i think :wink: i will stay by railsimulator for now, because i want to build my toys and play with them,
and don't want to spend my spare time to convert 1 object 10 thousand times.

with best regards

then the solution is to brighten the shadowmap (second texture) :wink:
read you...

I would suggest that any test route you had in RS using these assets, that it be converted to RW so you can see that any changes would be minor. The default routes in RW, and this includes any similar template you might have used in RS, has likely had its color values and lighting tweaked. Porting my own route projects to RW showed that the buildings and other bits using the TrainLightMapWithDiffuse.fx looked just as good in RW as they had in RS.
Cheers!

hi, ...

Fade to Grey. --
@Rail-X
I see "FADE TO GREY" ,but not from Visage but Railworks.
Thats looks bad.
The All Lightning is darker, and sometimes too dark.
I wonder just how this can not even detect?
I hope it does not remain in future, "FADE TO GRAY".
The Colors of the textures are stronger, for my taste too strong.

I do not know what one of the shaders has changed, but the Sky Blueprint has apparently also what to do so. And in the German forum, there are users that have observed the sun from the wrong side seems .. and maybe that is why at midday at 12:00 in the dark-gray stands.

hello guys!

as i said it before, some objects got no problems with railworks, but some others.... :roll:

imported some other assets from RS to RW, you can see no problems.
Image

but i think i found something interesting out, it sounds funny :wink: my trucks on the above screenshots are made with "splines", but
the tractor and the wagon are made with "primitive" objects. maybe railworks got some problems with spline objects?

anyway, i only can 100% agree with the post from iceman. and the problem is that this not only happens with my objects.
an object from iceman for example :wink: sorry iceman that i take your object to show the difference.

i don't know if iceman build this object with splines or not.
