We already have that functionality in RS but nobody seems to use it except Richard Scott and I on the Standard Stock and tram.
Can you elaborate on this for me please Darren. I seem to be being a tad thick!! (not unusual

)
I can appreciate what you were displayiong in the video's, but never noticed this feature "in game"?
Hi Basherz, I did an explanation on the RS forum but seeing as I can't link to that at the moment I'll explain again.
The concept is really quite simple but this won't work with any default locos that use the default drivers. If you look in the videos, the drivers are what we have created.
The driver has to be added to the model of the loco at time of export from the modelling package as an intermediate animation. Simply hide him in the engine bay and move him to his seat in the animation. This is then linked to the loco in the engine blueprints as an exterior animation and mapped to keys on the keyboard. I used shift ctrl= as it seemed the natural progression because ctrl= is used to switch cabs. You will need one driver per cab.
This works in the same way as you would raise or lower a pantograph in the sim. Why not move a driver instead of raising a pantograph, it's still an animation.
The default position of the driver is in the engine bay so static consists will appear driverless. AI versions of your loco will need a separate blueprint done with the driver added in the conventional way otherwise they will appear driverless.
The animation only works for the cab you are currently in, so if you forget to take him out of the rear one when you switch cabs he will still be there untill you go back.
Richard Scott and I are among the few modellers that have created our own blueprints from scratch so we get all the versatallity of adding all the functoinality they can provide.
Darren.
