First time around, you get the title of this thread - RailWorksProc error. Second time around it started. Quit the application in order to send this message. I hope I can get it to start again. :-?
I'm interested to know if you got it to work mate as mine will not work at all - I hit test settings, get an error and the game closes?

Hi have a 19" Iiyama - I click full screen but regardless of resolution it gives an error. I started a thread here http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 13&t=95049 as it seems one or two others are having the same problem.

Well, have the same error.
But not when I close the game, it's when I'm just driving a train :(
I can drive for a few minutes (think it's about 10 minutes), then I got the error, and the game crashes.

Even when I have so much programs running in the background, it don't have to crash.
Have no problems with other games, they are running fine (including Rail Simulator '1')

Well, it looks that I solved my problem with the crash by updating the Steam client manually to the version from 12 June.

How did you do that ?

I have the RailWorksProc error, but as soon as I try to launch the game.

So far I have never been able to run it.

Additional info:

NetFx on my computer won't install, because it says it's not supported on Vista

Ageya installs (seemingly) correctly

I have VIsta 64 and DX 10 (or so my computer tells me)

Still nothing works.

It upsets me a little bit that the game was released on a friday, so that we are left for two days with no support !

Hi, I got this on startup too - try the steps in this link... I tried it and railworks works perfectly

here: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1261/vis ... _crashing/

The problem is microsofts DEP, it's attempting to prevent your computer from contracting viruses, type in the code: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff into the command prompt (accessories -> command prompt), then press enter, then reboot. All should work fin after that...

You & me fella, on Xp here & can't get it to work at all. Just get the splash screen then click start & straight up comes a tell Bill window. Reinstalled loads (Ageia,DX,Net Framework,Anti Virus,XP SP2,Sp3 again,re downloaded game on steam, got rid of more anti virus, altered firewall, removed latest Nvidia driver, reinstalled Nvidia driver, infact the only thing I havent tried is a Canton fix..i.e. hit with big hammer!)

Really miffed as I was looking forward to having a look & getting my route into it (which others have already). My PC is a pretty good setup, runs everyother game I have ever bought straight out the box with no issue's, RS worked from day one with it & still does thankfully. I have not emailed RS about it yet with it being the weekend, but will see if they can help me out if I can't get it fixed before monday. Silly thing is I was not even going to buy RW for a long while, was going to wait until I had finished my route. But I guess I just was itching to see what my own work would look like in RW......Actually I still am itching to see. :(
Wales & Borders(BR) V3.1 status.
Re-released for RW. Hopefully some of you will get it to work this time.

Did you try installing that MDAC download from Microsft mentioned in another post ?
