The Great Britain 2 Was: Steamer in Fife

Post by nwallace »

A steamer has just passed the house, only just caught a glimpse of it due to trees and only got to the window in tiem because it whistled as it came off the (Tay) bridge.

Anyone know what it is and where it's been/going?

Thanks
Niall

This may have something to do with the Great Briton 2 tour, which concludes tomorrow.

The loco(s) might be LNER A4 60009 Union of South Africa and LMS Black 5 45231 The Sherwood Forester, or LNER K4 61994 The Great Marquess.

Hope this helps.

Sir Nigel Gresley and Union of South Africa are doing Edinburgh to Dundee next month :)
