Group Projects

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Group Projects

Post by Schmalspur »

Are there any groups working on Rail Simulator projects as I'd quite like to contribute to a group project? Is there a list or a directory somewhere?

Not that I know of, there was quite a big discussion about a group project but it never really got off the ground.

EDIT: That said I am always on the look out for a modeller as it takes so long to complete route when you single handedly have to model every object that is needed.

Well, it depends what you're both after. Contrary to popular belief, we're a fairly happy, easy going group, and we're always on the lookout for more people. We have modellers, but we can always use more, and we could use a routebuilder. If either of you are interested, send me some project specs at great_racer2002ATyahoo.co.uk. I don't bite, honestly (Only during a full moon, anyway). We've a lot of projects ongoing, but I'm sure we can offer you both some help, depending on the project. Buildings, particularly, are fairly quick and easy (Famous last words).

We're also looking for modellers, if this is what your asking?

Hi all

I put up the original post about a group route project and based on the response to that topic, I am working on a definite proposal, details of which I will post within the next couple of weeks.
The announcement of RailWorks has changed my ideas quite a lot so any new project has to be planned in such a way that it can make full use of the new features of RailWorks, hence a delay in progressing with this idea.

My proposals will be based on my own ideas but it would be nice to see others making definite proposals for group projects.
