This looks like the famous white-out bug! Do a search to find out all about it...

I'm also assuming you do not have the MSTSBin patch applied. If not, applying the patch should rid your software of this problem.

And PS.......with my Moderator hat on, I've changed your image to a link because the image is larger than the size allowed on the forum - see the guidelines in the Rules section...which is 800x600. Please keep future images within this size limit.

Following on from Doug's post, if you dont have the BIN patch installed you can still get around this problem by waiting until the whole of your train is well within the whiteout section - i usually run for an extra minute after the last coach/wagon is fully in the white zone - then save the activity and exit. Restart msts and then the activity from the saved position, and as if by magic, the scenery all returns to normal.

But i'd install the Bin patch if I were you ;)

Hi,
There is/was a patch for the West Somerset available from the producers Web site. Do you have this? I do and have never experianced the 'white out'. I also use The MSTSBin Patch as well.

Are you using the most recent reliable version of the Bin patch?
If you are I think it fixes the white out bug and your problem must be caused by something else :(

Have had this route from day 1 and have not had any problems both with and without bins installed. The patch was to rectify a problem on part of the route. Have recently seen the route for sale try Just Trains off Just Flight.com website. The question has to asked have you a genuine 'original C.D'. The latitude white out is well north of this route so can be rulled out.

I think you'll find that the Great White Void bug is a longitude problem, not latitude, and as it shows up around Huyton in Liverpool, that's not too distant from West Somerset in Longitude (though my cheap map doesn't show longitude)... although it's the first time I've heard of the problem rearing it's ugly head in regard to WSR.

I never had that problem with WSR,wonder if it could be a graphics card problem or not ?
