DT GWR 61xx

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the 'Heads up', downloading as I type.

I wonder whether DT used to run a Bus company, you wait ages for a bus and the two come along together.

Seriously, thank you very much Digital Traction, much appreciated.

Thanks. I was going to post a message about the release earlier this morning. However I was not sure if it had already been mentioned and got a bit side tracked due to work commitments. doh!

Not sure if this is a problem or not. I tried to select the engine to make it driveable. However when clicing the Driver icon it would not appear over the engine. I tried it a couple of times and it did not seem to want to work. I will have another go later on. Maybe i was over looking something.

Hi Simon
I have installed this loco and driven it along Dabears End
The driver icon is slightly temperamental, but it should install ok
Kind regards Stephen

Thanks for another great model DT, would definitely buy a complete version with cabs e.t.c assuming there is one.
Didn't see this model coming that's for sure, and I like the new smoke texture as well.
It is currently operating the 15:35 out of Kidderminster Town.

Thanks Again and the future looks great with DT's work finally paying off.

My first RS model, that. Glad you like her, took a while to get right, hence us not announcing it sooner. I hope to do some smaller GWR types stemming from this, the most obvious being the 43/73/93xx moguls. I do have another loco nearly complete, which was made from parts of MDIveys magnificent Hall. This one's a tad more obscure, but with texturing etc, should be ready soon.

Regarding cabs and sounds, never thought of that, but could probably have a whack at it, see where I end up.

P.s. Other liveries are to follow, I'll remove the smokebox numberplate and shedplate to allow for GWR versions.

Well good luck with your projects, I look forward to seeing more GWR locomotives, this was a real surprise though as I expected the second model to be another diesel.

Great Work.

Looks fantastic. Re Cab, I cant help but think the Prairie cab someone was making in the cab forum might prove a good match for this one.

I love 43xx moguls, hopefully we might see an example in Didcots ROD colours? :)

Keep up the excellent work anyway.

Oh, this isn't the second model, no no, this is an extra. The second model is yet to come. And it is a diesel. Oh, if I do a 43xx, ROD colours will appear, I suspect, a break from green/black.
