Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
That's great. I get a little bored of the scotsman cabview and sounds sometimes.

Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
It has long been a problem to find a suitable cabview for narrow gauge locos, a subject that has been aired several times. ID.11197 HR Pass Tank cab
ID.13938 Generic L.H. Drive tank cab
ID. 16429 Generic N.G.cabs
offer some suitably unsophisticated cabs with varying types of spectacle plate windows. and I believe it is possible for those a little more skilled to interchange some of the cab interior side views to match the loco.

Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
You have to do a little bit of work. There are 6 versions of the generic cab as explained in the readme file that comes with it, all you have to do is copy the cvf file for the one you want into the cabview folder of the loco concerned and change the cabview line in the .eng to point to it as below:simon20 wrote:Does the Generic narrow guage cab automatically change the scotsman cab when you download it?
Simon
CabView ( gencabhunx2.cvf )
(you need to use an editor that handles Unicode for this job - I use Wordpad)

Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
Intriguing! Don't suppose you could tell us a little more about her, please?
Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
Just imagine the cab about half the height, with a chimney to match..

ah i see
Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
Having been to the North Gloucestershire website, the 2 engines are quite similar, but Justine is rather bigger, here is the loco (now with completed valve gear and a few other bits) and a driver to give an impression of sizesimon20 wrote:Paul,

95% of the engine is shared with a very familiar British 15in gauge loco.

Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
Andrew,
Could you send be a copy of the loco, a bit of an odd loco but incredibly intruiging.
thanks,
Simon

Re: Minimum Gauge Railways
Simon,
There's quite a bit to do before this one is ready to go - the cab is hardly started, no clack boxes, the weigh shaft is floating in space etc, etc,
