Hey
While having a look in Shrub Hill this afternoon I noticed a 166 on London Paddington - Great Malvern. I'm not from the area but is this the norm? as I thought it was 180s and HSTs for this service. There was a trolley service onboard and the 3 car train was quite full!

Its fairly common place now, mostly in the mornings. Had a 2 car on 17.21 from Foregate Street to London earlier in the week. Full and standing only done 2 two stops.

I got a train at about 1720 from Worcester to Oxford a couple of years back, when it was a 180. That wasn't big enough, so quite how a 2 car was ever going to do the job...

Went to London from Evesham on a 2-car 166, at least 10 years ago, so it's nothing new!arabiandisco wrote:I got a train at about 1720 from Worcester to Oxford a couple of years back, when it was a 180. That wasn't big enough, so quite how a 2 car was ever going to do the job...

I'm amazed people from the Cotswolds manage to get in on the train given the small crowded usual things.

That was the only option then I think because didn't Thames Trains run it ?dorlan wrote:Went to London from Evesham on a 2-car 166, at least 10 years ago, so it's nothing new!arabiandisco wrote:I got a train at about 1720 from Worcester to Oxford a couple of years back, when it was a 180. There were GW HSTs on some of the services, the rest, run by TT, were usually 3 car 166s!158881 wrote:That was the only option then I think because didn't Thames Trains run it ?dorlan wrote:Went to London from Evesham on a 2-car 166, at least 10 years ago, so it's nothing new!arabiandisco wrote:I got a train at about 1720 from Worcester to Oxford a couple of years back, when it was a 180.
