Hi all,
Just a quick post of not much relevence.
Soon I am making a journeyh of Leicester - Lincoln
is there some way of knowing which trains are on which journey (ie 153 on that one, 158 on that one) at all?
as I am not going on a 153 for that journey lol!

Re: Leicester to Lincoln EMT
Hi
I think the 153s are used off peak.
Certainly last year, the 0750 from Lincoln was a 156 and the 1730 return from Nottingham
Cheers
Jon

Re: Leicester to Lincoln EMT
EMT only really uses its 158's for the Liverpool - Norwich trains so I'd expect a 156 at best and a 153 at worst.

Re: Leicester to Lincoln EMT
Odd journeys do appear with 158s on, but not very many.
Most services are either 156s or 153s in various combinations. A single skateboard is quite rare, they tend to run in at least 2s or even 3s on this service (although any additional carriages beyond 2 are locked out between Leicester and Nottingham).

Yea, EMT use the 158s on the Liverpool - Norwich services, but they hardly ever use enough. Yet again a crowded train this morning from Warrington to Manchester, and even late by 15 mins.
AFAIK EMT also use 158s on the service from Crewe to Derby?, the one that goes past Uttoxeter...

I've done it twice and survived with a computer of pretty much the same spec, although changing trains with it and EMT are another matter!MoonKid47 wrote:Ahh, lucky Im not using it this weekend for that computer LAN party in Uttoxeter. Sometimes they go completely mad and use a 156 on Liverpool - Norwich!

Re: Leicester to Lincoln EMT
If people between Liverpool and Manchester stopped using it as a local service the problem on that stretch might just disappear!MoonKid47 wrote:Yea, EMT use the 158s on the Liverpool - Norwich services, but they hardly ever use enough.
