Re: SERVER MOVE WEEKEND

The other day I downloaded the FGE Class 312 pack at 5kb/s.
It was 2 kb/s a while back, but it was upped to 5kb/s.

EDIT:

This is what is on the home page at the bottom:

This is right?

20kb/s split over 10 concurrent downloads (that's what it was before, wasn't it?) -
It was split over 5 previously :)

Forums seem ok for me :) The main site home page loads, it just after logging on that it goes awry. I'll try rebooting my modem and router again and see if that helps any.

Working great here for me blisteringly fast apart from the slower downloads but then i really must renew my preium membership.

All working fine now Matt :)
I forgot to delete all my old cookies and web pages. Once i did that and rebooted my router and modem again it works ok. Web page rendering is very fast :)
Off to try some downloads :)

Edit : Massively fast. Im getting 2.17MB/s almost every time now. Lowest has been 1.98MB/s A bit better than 38KB/s this morning :)

It all seems to be working fine for me, but to be honest I've never had any problems with the site!!

I've no idea what the speed of my internet connection is and I don't really care.
Everything seems to work OK, so why should I worry!!!

Matt

A few picture links on forum posts still arent working.

This is one :

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 38&t=91402

Ive spotted others, usually where people have linked to files in the file library.

These seem to have corrected themselves now - or you fixed it :)

Ah ok i've just checked the old server and it was set to 5 concurrent downloads at 25k/s total.

I'll change the code and then during tomorrow AM in a quiet time i'll slip it in.

Sorry about that! :)

Laurie, just checked that one and i looks like a DNS issue - i've changed a couple of bits and it now works fully if I request the page on the server so it just means waiting for DNS on that one again unfortunately. Still, it wasn't right and needed a bit of a fix so thanks for highlighting it.

Ok i've copied up the code changes necessary to change the premium bandwidth allowance again but as I say i'll wait until a quiet time tomorrow AM to actually deploy it as it'll require the server going down for a moment.
