As far as I can recall, D830 Majestic (the odd-man-out as she had a Paxman engine) had a small yellow panel applied whilst she wore the distinctive Chromatic Blue livery. Chris Baily's model depicts D830 in this livery and I'm sure he knows his Warships.

D831 also received small yellow panels whilst in blue. D830 and D831 differed in relation to where their numbers and arrows were which in itself is a massive subject where Warships are concerned. I really like maroon full yellow alongside blue and small yellow ends. The two liveries contradict each other with the earlier main body colour and the later yellow style ends and vice versa. Wonderful stuff!
By the way John, definitely Old Skool! Can't beat it.

I can remember when my mum lived at Honiton,due to the noise comming up Honton Bank and you tell if one was struggling to get up the Bank due to the racket and the time it took to get to Honiton.

I think the worse one were the Network South East ex Scottish Class 47's,they were for ever braking down,and the service was getting lousey as they were trying keep to the timetable with a 33,it was nothing to be 30 to 45 mins late by the time they got to the passing loop at Chard Junc.

The next passing point after Chard was Honiton Station so late running down train usualy had a knock on affect to up trains.The 50's at first were better,but the nearer they got to being phased out the worse they got,it was a relief to get one of the 159's on a train.

But I must admit I would still rather have a train with either a 47 or 50 and 8 coaches. as the MK2's are far more comfortable than the 159's and not so overcrowded.

When you cought a train with MK2's on you had to travel in the front 4 coaches as the rest of the train at Honiton was long for the platform.
