DT MK1s

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Darker roofs will come with later packs. As for weathering, BR was fairly hot on the subject of coach cleaning, so...

Slightly off subject - but while you are on - Is the East Coast Weave scenario downloaded from your site ment to install in the game as The flying scotsman scanario? Just to clarify would be great

Many thanks

Yes, we put it on the site under the original title, which we changed in the sim. Confusing, I know, but when you've got various activities to upload, confusion does tend to reign.

Questions:
Do these new Mk1 coaches have passengers aboard?
Does the package include scenarios?
Will the Maroon/Green/etc variations be separate products or free add-on downloads?
Thanks

Unfortunately, the coaches do not yet have passengers aboard, simply because the sight of passengers in carriages in sidings, or during ECS moves, is a little odd. We plan to add passengers to our coaches as soon as RSDL update this feature. Yes, the package includes five scenarios, as stated on the website. The Maroon/Green/etc varients will be seperate products, as each set will require structural changes to accurately portray these long lived coaches at various stages in their lives.

Happy days, good work DT. I was really impressed with the Mk2 pack so will definitely be investing in the Mk1 pack too.

Just as a thought for the DT boys, any chance of maybe offering some scenario packs??? It seems DT are the daddies at knocking out some good scenarios and I for one would be willing to pay for a scenario pack(s). It's the variety of different scenarios that really give a sim a good life span and that's been the biggest thing lacking in RS

It's something we could consider, however, unfortunately, the chap who does those excellent scenarios also does most of the modelling, so right now, we're trying to get the models out. Your humble servant may have a try at scenarios at some point, watch this space.
