Very nice. Do MT allow repaints? It would be nice to see a maroon one with wrap round windows.

BTW just noticed your tribute nameplate. Special touch.
Cheers

Probably need a complete new model as the un-refurbished ones also would need the MU recesses and the two car units with the panto on the leading car.
I can remember them running as 10 car sets. ( 2+4+4 )

I've done a blue/grey one for my own use, but obviously cannot show it here. :(

Commercial add-ons has a strict policy and as a result, MT do not allow repaints nor requests. :(

It's not a repaint, he's just added a nameplate, if MT see's it as such I'm sure Dave or Tony will advise until they do how about a little tact here  Nice pics and am sure a nice memory mate!

It's certainly my fave and the best modelled route to date... I love recreating my teenage years watching the whistlers go through Ipswich and up the Harwich Branch and creating spotting acts at Manningtree brilliant!!!

Evesham and North Wales Coast are going to be right up there too.

Kieran doesn't need permission for this as IIRC the nameplate was actually created by someone within MT for him. We were hoping to do something else for Kieran but as that didn't come to fruition the nameplate was created instead..........and very fine it looks too :)

Well done Kieran.

Please, please, please can we have a blue and grey one released MT?

I would pay a not inconsiderable wedge of dosh for an official add-on, maybe including also green or maroon versions?

Now we have the brilliant Class 306 in its' latter guise, a BG 309 is the missing link for some great 70s/80s GE acts :(

I believe they did attempt a blue-grey version, but there was problems with it, so it never got into the finished product.

Sure Dave Babb could clear that one up.
