Hi all,
recently my RailSim loading screens have become blurred when i run in windowed mode or just in 1024 by 768 res. When i run in 1152 by 864 full screen, the load screens look fine. This problem first cropped up i think a few weeks ago after i had switched from full screen to windowed and changed my Arthroscopic filtering settings. I tryed downloading the new graphics card drivers to no avail. here is a picture of the problem

im using a ATI X700 (I hate ATI so much....)
Has anyone else encountered this problem or knows a fix to it?
Thanks
Nikos

Re: Blurry loading screens
I run in windowed mode as well ( with a nvidia 8800GTS 640MB ) and I do get that happening sometimes but normally on the first main screen. Now when it happens to me, after moving the screen into the position I want the screen will be momentarily blurry but then it will sharpen up to how it should look. rarely will it happen on the other screens ( if it does then going to another screen seems to clear it ) so I have never really worried about it.

It may just be me but i think the visual quality in game has gone down too
Any recomendations besides a fresh install?

Check mipmapping setting of your graphic card (set it to high), also antialiasing should be more than zero and at last (or first) check multisampling option of RS (beginning option screen), maybe it's got messed up.nikos1 wrote:Any recomendations besides a fresh install?

Re: Blurry loading screens
I had exactly the problem you are getting about last November, and I'm pretty sure that the only way I found to get out of it was a re-install!!
I know it's not the best way, but then how much time do you wan't to spend on it!! Silly thing is, I've never achieved the situation again.

Re: Blurry loading screens
I changed my MIP settings to highest, and what do you know my screen goes black, gotta love ATI
BUT after restarting the comp, i loaded up RS and what do you know, my load screens are sharp and crisp again, so hopefully problem solved!

ATI drivers were never the best thing in the Universe, but they make some very worthwhile graphic card, so it pays to be patient sometimes.
