Post by champy »

Whats going wrong if when i unpack an activity it unpacks it to the wrong folder?

Its MID EAST UK V1.0 (UK1) instead it unpacks to Europe 1

ACTIVITES INCLUDE:-
Southern Oil
ME-Bilsthorpe Grafham MGR

I don't know about the Bilsthorpe MGR train, but you shouldn't be using the other two on the Mideast route, as they were written for the previous version of the route (ECML 3.1) and have now been withdrawn from this site. Having said that, both versions lived in a folder called UK1, so they should unpack ok.

I seem to recall someone else writing about this elsewhere. If nobody else answers, I'll try to find out for you.

champy,

From the date of joining I assume you're new to MSTS and its many foibles.

Unfortunately, activities written for one build of a given route will not work even if only one new piece of track was laid. This is why it is so important that activities contain a readme file detailing the build of the route they were created on.

You will find plenty of references to this topic if you care to browse these forums, go back about three months or so.

Thank you for your info. For my sins i have not been on the forums long but mastering MSTS is very time consuming to and having a pregnant girlfriend to keep amused means most time on here is very little or not enough.

Thanks again and i will wade through the forum to find out more
