S&D Scenario Pack - Now Released

Hi all,

Just wanted to announce that my first offering for RS will be released soon, a scenario pack for the S&D. I hope to include four or five scenarios in the pack, two of which are completely finished and packaged already.

Hopefully barring disaster it should be ready in a week or so because all the scenarios have already been started, I just never got around to finishing them.

I have tried to include a wide range of activities in the scenarios, the list is:

Local From Highbridge - Take a local train from Highbridge to Templecombe with an Ivatt 2MT on a rainy Autumn afternoon.

The Great Summer Getaway - Take a heavily loaded 10 coach holiday extra from Bath to Templecombe at the beginning of the Summer holidays. This scenario is a real chalenge, even with the combined power of West Country 34041 and Black 5 44830.

Highbridge Engineering Work - Take charge of 8F no. 44488 delivering supplies from Radstock to Evercreech Junction ready for track renewal on the Highbridge branch the following day.

A Wintry Afternoon - Drive West Country class no 34041 Wilton on a Templecombe to Bath semi - fast in thick snow on a wintry afternoon.

Burning The Midnight Oil - You're on for the late shift, deliver an ECS train to Templecombe from Evercreech Junction ready for the first express in the morning.

I am currenty unsure if I will include the last one or not as it is a fun Scenario but it doesn't seem very prototypical. Thoughts are welcome on this subject, however it may be replaced with another, probably goods themed, scenario.

Sorry, I know I said Wednesday and it is now Friday, but you know how it goes
I am still working on this and I hope it will be finished fairly soon, but progress has been somewhat slowed by the discovery of a large area of free space. Yes, you guessed where this is going, the modeller in me is coming out again. I'm currently doing some layout planning and research etc. but I won't just abandon this, don't worry.

Freeware, straight from UKTS. Just a quick update as well, 4 scenarios finished, 5th 80 % done. Should be this week for release

Uploaded awaiting approval. Pack reduced to four just to get it out. Included scenarios are A Wintry Afternoon, The Great Summer Getaway, Local from Highbridge and Midsomer Pilot.

I have recently acquired a 1953 WTT for the S&D detailing every movement over the whole line, so I may well do another pack in due course containing 100% authentic scenarios and AI, if this one is well recieved.

IMHO you have brought out the period flavour of this route really well.
Well Done.
Can anyone think of an excuse to put Iron Duke on the road? Maybe a trial for the 9Fs that were used?
