... is an Unhandled exception error, which I always get, when I try to install any rpk package, doesn't matter if with choosing within Package manager MK2, as an installer or double clicking on rpk package.
System is new with Vista 64-bit, Rail Simulator has Mk2 patch installed and working well and with newest developer package.
Now I can't install any package (from RSDL or third party) and searching forums did not help. Any ideas?

Re: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
yes my friend i have this problem also when installing third party content, go into the third party folder in RS and double click on the RPK file not the launcher, if that doesn't work open the RPK file properties then click the "change" tab in "opens with" section and associate it with the Mk2 package manager in the RS folder or as i have, a copy on my desktop. BTW i downloaded the new Mk2 manager separately from the new dev tools and plonked that on my desktop, much quicker for me.

Sorry, but it doesn't work, no matter which Package manager do I use for unpacking *.rpk files, or how they are opened. Always the same error. Even content from RSDL site is affected.
Any other ideas?

Hi,
Vista & rail sim,
Did you install everything including patches with administrator privileges? If not, some of the files were probably not registered correctly, giving symptoms similar to yours.
Hope this helps

Everything, Vista is updated with every patch possible.
RS was also installed on user account with administrator privileges. Actually RS itself works fine with no problems, only Package manager refuses to work.

Installed and working well, except Package manager.
