Tunnel route problems
The Tunnel route ( Channel tunnel) clearly says in the read me that it uses default stock the ones that came with MSTS, when actually it uses some that are only available on the TGV add on pack, which I don't have, if I had known this I would not have downloaded it! Please in future could the uploaders please state whether commercial add-ons are needed to run there routes or activitys!

Hi Dave, Did you read the read me? As it seems straight forward to me.

RegardsBy purchasing "Add-On's" or downloading from the site for extra European Trains etc. you can make it better.
The included activities only use default stock in order to make it easy to get up and running - the downloader is encouraged to download suitable replacements such as the Eurostar set from ChrisTrains (Available from here), Ian Morgan's 'Le Shuttle' (Available from here) and numerous french add-ons available from other sites such as TGV's.

Yes I did read the read me file, but there are two activities that actually require consists from the commercially available Just Trains TGV add-on pack, I have already downloaded Eurostar and Le shuttle fom this site, and a french BB7200 from another site and will try to find a suitable TGV and then go through the process of editing the consists!

Re: Tunnel route problems
I have 'The Tunnel' installed and working on my system, i have had for many years, and i've never had any mention of needing any commercial add-ons. It only uses the Acela set from the default 'Northeast Corridor' route.

Re: Tunnel route problems
Well I can assure you that on the one I downloaded a few days ago there are two activitys that need the stock I mentioned! I hve run Route Control the free version I downloaded from here and it confirms the Two Activitys and the missing stock and consists which are Traffic on the two activitys and also Trainstore picks them up as missing as well! The activitys in question are Sangatte - Cheriton and Calais - Transmanche - Lille they require jt_tgv_4534_v1, jt_tgv_531_v1 and jt_sncfbb7200 plus the various coaches associated with them! Which is ok because i have obtained some similar stock via some other website, the problem arises when I try to edit the activitys when I try to load them in the activity editor it crashes saying it failed to load the files mentioned above!

Re: Tunnel route problems
I always use Activity Analyser for these sort of jobs as I find it much easier (and it never crashes
). Just load up the activity and it will tell you which items are missing and allow you to replace them with alternatives you do have.

Re: Tunnel route problems
What I find annoying is when a route includes scenery objects or stuff like UKFineScale or Xtracks and it doesn't mention it in the Read Me. I won't name names as I'm sure the routes I have in mind are not the only ones.

Re: Tunnel route problems
On further investagation the problem is not traffic but loose consists! So the easy answer was just to delete the two activitys! problem solved!
