Disappearing doors

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Disappearing doors

Post by codrivermike »

I noticed this when running the scenario that comes with the Armstrong Powerhouse sound pack.

When I open the doors on the FGW stock with the wavy decals and red doors, the door just disappears

When they close it doesn't reappear in the right place.....

It's now at the other end of the coach :-? :-? :-?

This problem does not occur with the older stock

Any ideas chaps?

Yep. They're with the mk2 "upgrade"

I've got round it, thanks to Mike Simpsons excellent work, by swapping out the coaches. At least now I can run the scenario without it looking weird.

Sorry to return to this problem but I have installed that fix and for sure it has fixed the TRFB and also the FGW MK3 TSO but the FGW MK3 TFO is still affected. Is this an RSDL product and should the fix apply to it? I can't remember if it was downloaded or has always been there.

I too only noticed the door problems recently after making a scenario using the newer mk3s. I first spotted the problem when I was watching my train leave Reading. It must have been a bit windy at 125mph!

Thats also why they say of the PA system "please mind the gap between the train and the platform"?

Not looked at it yet, but we will release it next week once we have gone through a number of the wagons.
Will let you know when we put it up on the site.
