Something ain't right

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Something ain't right

Post by Saudistu »

Hope you guys can help here. I purchased the Class 66 add-on, but I cannot seem to place any of the Locos into the Paddington to Oxford route in the default free roam that starts at Reading. All other types can be put in, but not the Class 66, however in the free roam Class 66 scenario at Didcot, I have had no problem dropping more Class 66s in. The class 66s drop in fine on Newcastle to York route at Darlington. Any ideas ? The next one relates to the DVD. Since installing update no.2, the Programme takes an absolute age to start up, sometimes coming back with the message 'cannot locate the DVD' or similar, other times asking me put the original DVD in the drive rather than a copy, well, it is already the original in the drive. RS is the only programme having a problem with my DVD drive. No other software has such problems. Anyone else out there suffered similar problems. I certainly do not want to go through an uninstall - reinstall scenario like many others have had to do  Other than these two problems, everything is fine.

If you have installed MK2 update you can now run Rail Simulator using RailsimEditor.exe without the Dvd in the drive. :D
