Panoramic Peak

Post by spikeyorks »

Just a screenshot taken using my panoramic camera that I liked

A Peak approaches Ely North Junction as the sun starts to set.

Enjoy :)

I like that screenshot too. Looks amazingly realistic, even though I say it myself :)

Its Mid East Plus (still under construction)

Thanks for the comments :)

Moving slightly South (and about an hour earlier) I took this picture which, in my opinion, is nearly as good.

Again enjoy :)

I've just been putting odd screenshots up (out of loads taken) just because they look quite good on their own.

I'm sure that once we get near to MEP release time (and no I dont know when that is) then we'll put lots more of them out in to the public domain.

But as you've been so nice here's one more......and something a bit different at that :)

Right now I must get on with some "real" work !!!

Regards David :)

And you will just have to wait patiently like the rest of us. :D

Very appetising - Cambridge looks like I remember it - minus the steam shed, of course.
Alan

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Alan is right Cambridge is very easily identifiable and yet it is far from a scale model of the place. In fact, for me, that is the beauty of what Mick has done with MEP in that he has recreated numerous locations that give a timeless feel to how an area was without getting bogged down by having to create something exact.

For instance in the above shot of Cambridge you can see the new bridge over the station which, of course, would not have been around in the time modelled. To me this means that both "old hands" and "new hands" can both recognise where the location is even without prompts. It is the same with the stock where there is a huge variety to use. In the cases above both the green CL47 and the CL08 are on enthusiasts excursions which will hopefully add to the enjoy of the sim as these take you to explore the back roads of the sim rather than just the main lines.

I am sure that the vast majority of simmers will enjoy it immensely.

And just to sign off here's two more. The first one gives a traditional look at the northern area of the route (including the weather) whereas the second one shows off the what I believe has been called "the "pot pourri style" that is possible if one is possessed with a bit of imagination

Enjoy both :)
