D1015

Post by chester025 »

This just in from the DTG website, http://www.westernchampion.co.uk/
Unfortunately the D1015 tour to Swansea on the 09th August has been cancelled by Past time Rail. This is due to the non availability of a path over the Hereford-Worcester section on the return and this routing was considered integral to the tour.

However the tours to Kingswear on the 30th August and Falmouth on the 27th September are confirmed and bookings are being taken by Past-Time Rail and the DTG.
D1015 visited Liverpool yesterday with a tour from Sailsbury. A video that my Dad took of it can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yS8jMiLfsY

If you haven't rode on D1015 yet, I can highly recommend a ride on this beast! Here is a vid I took of it leaving Crewe a few weeks ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ALB6eSfdK8

I hope the mods don't mind me plugging such a superb engine!

Nice videos Chester! I saw D1015 at around 07.35 yesterday morning just outside Bristol Temple Meads, from my train on the way into work, but hadn't got my camera handy (I still think she looked better in her old Golden Ochre livery with non-standard yellow warning panel at the "A" end though!)
