Quick change in stock

Post by electric »

Would having a MT desiro in an identically named folder to overwrite my current desiro folder (DC V3) mean all the trains are changed, including the AI traffic, or is it more complicated. I'm waiting for the CD has i had problems with the download to drop with IE freezing as i clicked to download it.

Many thanks
Mark

I want to cahnge them to the MT desiro's, i'm just wondering if just clearing the contents of the current (old) desiro folder then pasting all the new ones from the mt desiro folders (or just making 2 copies, one for new activities and one in the original name and one with the current) will mean I dont have to go through all the activities and changing the stock due to consists etc been out.

Simply I want to swap older stock for new, with loosing the old desiro, but without affecting activities, other than new stock, if your still with me :-?

Thanks anyway

the stock is installed into a different folder.
You will be able to use Route Riter to change the consists from the DC CD 450 to the newer models.

So it's not as easy as just changing the folder of the new desiro's folder to that of the old desiro, so when the computer goes looking for it it finds the new desiro 'without' realising it, straight swap.

I once tried route riter, and it totally confused me, took me a few weeks to get the hang of train store so I'm not the cleveriest of train simmers
