Changing Gauges to Imperial

Post by Pete92 »

Hello. How do I change a loco's settings into imperial. I am having problems with Talyllyn No. 1 as all its gauges in the f5 menu are in Metric. It only seems to be this loco as all the route values appear in imperial.

Hi Pete
They are controlled by the cabview cvf file.
If you have a similar cabview, that is already in imperial then copy that cvf file across (edit the cabview line in the eng file if necessary) or re-name the cvf file to match the original.
Cheers
Jon

Pete,

Better still, substitute the HRPT cabview for the modified Scotsman cabview used in the loco. The BNRPT cab is a simple affair, more representative of narrow gauge locos and with a lower boiler backhead, so that you look out over the boiler as in real life.
I use this cabview for all my ng locos with round spectacle plates and one from the GenericNGcabs cabviews for those with rectangular spectacles.
The cabviews are available from the downloads library with IDs 11147 HRPT and ID 16429 GenericNG cabs
