You shouldn't have bothered. I'd have invited them in for a cup of horlicks and a digestive biscuit.

They're hard as nails !

(and quite partial to a mug of Birds Mellow, plenty of milk)

Leaving aside Buddy who was on a different planet, Chuck is THE main man. I have a CD collection which has just about most utterences he ever made commercially.

Without him could the 60s have happened? Maybe, but in a much diluted form.

The Stones would sound the same, they only released 1 Chuck Berry number (Come On 7/6/63)
and it only got as high as No.21.
Their 3rd release was "Not Fade Away" a Petty / Hardin number, it was the first top ten entry for
Mick & the gang. :D

The Stones always said that Muddy Waters was their biggest influence, not Chuck Berry. :wink:

Yes I recall watching them mime to it on "Thank your Lucky Stars" . However the list of Berry numbers done by the Stones is pretty large. One of the main reasons I got into guitar playing was trying to emulate Keith Richards paying Chuck Berry riffs (and Brian Jones doing Bo Diddley riffs.)

The Red Arrows used to carry an old RAC sign about with them that said "If wet, in village hall that had presumably been 'requisitioned'.

I was actually going to brave weather and traffic tomorrow. But the car exhaust blew on Saturday evening. Vectras are not supposed to sound like that... :(

Wasn't too bad today the weather during the airshow, it didn't rain.

However my job as "Paper Delivery Expert" a.k.a Paperboy meant getting very very wet this morning :x . Damn British weather.

You know if its airshow weekend, it rains.
