BRISCARD V3 UPGRADE

Hello again chaps!

I have done as you all suggested and trains are now running. However, most of the time, they are not running on track, despite having loaded XTracks. There are no tracks in Swansea station or across any bridges.
Any explanation possible?

Have you checked the route with Routeriter? It sounds like something is missing - which version of XTracks have you installed?

I have used the latest version of XTracks. The route has been through Routeriter with several errors being thrown out. Most of them seem to be about missing road vehicles.
Whilst the trains arer running, there are several other errors coming up about missing items.

You need to deal with the Routeriter errors first - you can post the report here. It sounds like the batch file hasn't found everything, or copied everything, so it might be worth running it again - make sure you set it to run as administrator.

Um, I wonder where the Installme.bat went. It should be a component of the BrisCard route folder listed with ACTIVITIES, ENVFILES etc. If you PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you the bat file.

I have redownloaded the suggested files - just in case. Once done, I ran the route through Routeriter again, but got an identical list of missing files.
As your attempt to send me your own bat. file was blocked by Outlook, I can only hope that some kind person will send me a copy on a disc - all expenses paid, of course.

Just a final word.

I have just downloaded the Ashburton Route from the site as an experiment.
This route installs its own bat. file
However, just to test it, I clicked on 'Install me bat.' and again I got the Access is Denied message.
Looks like it could be in the wrong place!

Access Denied sounds like Nanny Vista thinking it is keeping your computer safe - you must set the batch file to Run As Administrator. Are you doing this? There are threads in the Vista forum that tell you what to do.

hi there!

i know this is kinda off the chain of problems from above, but i saw the BrisCard V3 thread, and thought it'd be easy enough to post here! i currently only have BrisCard V1 on my PC, so does anyone think it would be good for me to remove V1 totally and replace it with V3? or would it be better to download V3 anyway? any help for the technologically impaired would be awesome

Greg - what I would do is delete your current V1 folder and use the V3 complete upload in 4 parts that was on the front page of this site earlier in the week.
