Radstock Goods Extra
In the Radstock Goods Extra scenario, I have been unable to get RS to register that I have stopped at Down Siding 1. I have tried stopping on that siding at various locations on it, to no avail. I finally went ahead and coupled to the various cars that were called up, and had to get on Down Siding 1 three times, but the scenario never registered that. Headed off for Wellow 2, where I stopped, and then shortly after that my train derailed for no obvious reason.
Anyway, does anyone know how to do this properly?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Radstock Goods Extra
How far up the siding do you go?
You need to stop the whole train within the siding marker.
The F3/F9 view should show you the limits of the siding marker, and the F1 view will show you a green tick when you've done it.
Sorry if you're xperiencing problems but I was forced to use the Down Siding as a headshunt when creating the scenario otherwise I had pathing problems.

Hi,
I tried it again, many times, stopping at different places. No go.
Wonder if it's because I'm running the US version of RS.

I had the same problem.
Nothing seems to register with the scenario to indicate you have stopped as required so I carried on towards the Advanced Starter and when the rear of the train had cleared the points ( by the overbridge next to the signal box) I set back in to the sidings at Radstock sidings!

I'm sure it's not your fault but thanks for the scenario anyway.
I've created several for my own use which I'm not prepared to make available to others because I've not the confidence they'll work the same on a different machine.

Re: Radstock Goods Extra
I have done this one a few times - quite like it.
I found the trick is to use almost all of the head shunt, irrespective of the length of your train at that point. Once I did that, was no issue, other than having to set the path at Bath due to an earlier AI setting the points to the incorrect arrival track.
Hope that is a pointer.
Cheers

Re: Radstock Goods Extra
I've just started playing Radstock goods and the scenario instructs to couple to (2547), (2546), (2559), (2525).
I think I may be duh! but key <F6> doesn't identify these wagons and neither does the 2D map key <9> so how do I discover where they are?
Thanks, Mike.

I think you need to press F6 and then F7.
