WCML freight diversions?

Post by andylloyd »

Hi all,
saw the DRS intermodal cross the King Edward Bridge this evening about 18.00 heading northbound.
Is this due to engineering works?
If so will the southbound be going this way too?

Cheers

AFAIK DRS run freight all the way up the WCML from at least Rugby to Carlisle as I've seen them at those places and inbetween...

Are the diversions on the ECML due to engineering works though?

Last time I saw this pass through was feb last year after the pendo incident

It had a couple of Tesco containers in it, several Asda ones and several Malcolm logistics ones.

Any further info?

Cheers
