Consists

Post by cardean »

Hi Folks,

I'm John and I'm brand new to all this, so I've got a load of dsft questions to ask. :)

First thing I would like to know is, when you make up a consist do you have to put an engine up front, is there a way to save it so you can have any Loco pull it?

Secondly, because I'm using XP I can't use the FFedit utility to view the s' file. Can someone advise me on this?

I'll pull the plug just now and hope somebody can help a real rooky :D

Cheers

John.

Hi, yes you can set up a consist without an engine but to use it you will have to go into the editors and place it in your route as a static consist.

You need the excellent Shape viewer programme (available from 1st screen as a download) to view the s files. ffedit is a decompressor tool not a viewer.

there are some excellent tutorials on this site about how to use the editors etc in the library.

Hope this helps

Hi John,

Alternatively You Could Build Consits With This:

Invalid File ID [15665]

There is a full version of this available from another site wich i would highly reccomend
