Having a little trouble

Post by Zoid99 »

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with making route blueprints with RS_tools missing bits. I followed the guide, blueprint gets exported to RS no problems. As it says in the guide, when i load the route up there is no land so i do what it says to, when i click on the tick box for Rail sim under Kuju, Rail Sim freezes and stops responding. This happens everytime i try, even after restarting my pc it still does it. Any ideas of where i've gone wrong?

Thanks
Tom

Do you have the required SRTM data in the right folder? Do you happen to have half the globe in that folder, per chance?
Just a guess in the dark.

It doesn't sound as though it's top do with DEM data, because until you press the T key in the editor the presence or absence of DEM data is not an issue. Before going into the route editor and trying to set the object filters, have you checked that you can move around with the free-flying camera? If you rotate the camera up to look around the sky do you see any missing texture warnings?

Yes i can move about and there are no missing texture warnings. What i'm trying is re-installing rail-sim to see if that will fix it.

Thanks
