Re: Cambridge station
You will find track layouts in the Quail Maps British rail track diagrams

Hi David,
Tony has of course posted the clearest source but if you don't have them and want a quick scan of how it is now Google Earth and Virtual Earth will give you a very clear picture of the track. I know Cambridge is very clear because it's in MEP and we've used these a lot to check positioning of scenery etc.

Re: Cambridge station
Cheers Geoff. I actually thought I'd have a go reproducing a clear map of Cambridge station and its layout using Google Earth. Just typed in Cambridge station, hit search, Cambridge station came up, switched to satellite view, zoomed in, and the resolution isn't bad. Well, its good enough to tell the difference between a 2 track and a 4 track line.
Looking forward to seeing Cambridge in MEP.

Hi,
This is a view from the east end of the main platform at MEPs Cambridge.

Cambridge is one of the most complex parts of MEP. You need the Quail Map for the detail. Google Earth is only useful as an aid for the surrounding land and buildings.
