Expansion Pack

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Hey Overmarze,as far as i was aware,it would be available within a week of the expansion pack being made available.Unless they are having problems finding somebody to host and sell it as a standalone, maybe someone from RSDL could comment.

Na i bet its the installer thay dont want people to distubute there content.

Just trains has a system wich you put the code in then if you format or the hard drive dies then you have to ask them for another code as the code can only be used once :D

Will this be released in the shops on the 28th? as I can't seem to find it listed on GAME's website.

The last Derek mentioned about it was that he was hopeing to make an announcement last week - which clearly didn't happen. I'm not aware of the reason. :(

Hi,
The packs are ready to go but everything else is out of my hands.
We are currently setting up our shop, however many things need to be in place before we open it.
As soon as it's ready I'll let you know.

Derek

Downloaded it last night and to be honest it has given my flagging enthusiasm for RS a much needed shot in the arm. Cajon Pass runs as smooth a silk and the scenery is fantastic. All in all, £14.99 wasn't wasted.
Now, let's see what this 08 is all about.

One thing I think is a bit unfair regarding price though. Download and boxed versions the same price. I feel that the method used by, for example, the Feather River route ie, buy, download and then recieve the CD version soon after might have been an option.

Hi,

On the Newcastel York, the scenario "Shunt on Tyne" appears corrupted, in any case it does not started and I am entitled to a nasty error message before returning to the original screen.

I have yet tested the scenario with RS-Tools, and there is no shortage of materials or objects on the line ... I did not understand!

Do you have the same problem? And a solution can be? I asked Justrain which has not yet responded ..

Hi, can you give us a little more information please.
your set up, operating system etc.
The scenario was well tested but if there is an issue I'm sure we can get to the bottom of it.

I ran that scenario a few days back and I can say it loaded and ran ok. It is very intensive though, there is a fair bit of AI stabled in the sheds there which probably eats up a lot of memory. I noted too, that when service trains ran past my frame rates bottomed out. So perhaps a reduction in settings might do the trick.

Good scenario too.
