Hello, would be grateful for some quick advice please as I can't find the answer.
I am building a new route but now want to continue building it on a new laptop I have brought. I have copied the relevant folders over and placed them in the correct place on the laptop, however the route does not show up on the list of routes?!
Would be grateful if someone could point out where I am going wrong.
Kind regards
Jamie

Hi Jamie
Often a route will not show up in the list if you haven't added the extras such as Xtracks ukfinescale and the latest Tsection.
Also you need at least one path.
One final thing is if you have trainstore on the desktop, did you unstore before copying?
Cheers

Re: Transfering route from desktop to laptop
Can we clarify if this is a RS query as the response relates to MSTS?

In addition to the Assets folders for your developer ID and the folder for your route, did you copy the routes.bin file into the Content folder?

Hey there mate.
All you have to do is install everything then copy and replace the file and folders then go for a drive

Re: Transfering route from desktop to laptop
I have a similar problem... I am building a route in RS, (in the time it took me to create a passing loop and platforms for my MSTS route I have built 3 compleet stations with basic seenery using RS)
anyway, I want to transfer the route from one pc to another, but I dont know which folders I need to copy. (unlike MSTS I find the RS file organization system a bit of a maze.)

Re: Transfering route from desktop to laptop
To move a route from one install of RS to another the minimum steps are
Copy route folder
Copy the xml block in Routes.xml (or is it routes.bin? can't remember if it is you have to convert it to xml, edit, then back to bin)
Since your developing your probably best to copy your source folder across as well
Obviously if your using 3r4d party objects you also need to copy them across.
