An improvised street party for men in yellow coats it seems ?

The Asda home delivery van is at the end of the cul-de-sac. He seems to be ready to leave but can't since the recycling collectors appear to have broken down blocking his escape. They are sat in their cab eating sandwiches whilst the man from the HGV recovery company is crawling underneath the recycling truck with a very large wrench :o

This could be very interesting if they can't repair it since I doubt they can tow it out round the S bend and up the hill - certainly not without moving every single car first.

When SWBO returns from work she will not be able to get past the recovery or recycling truck to get to our driveway. I think I need to go onto a long conference call about then ;-)

This working at home lark is good - you get to meet some very interesting people in the street.

The weathermen got it wrong today, and instead of it being very wet outside its dry and fairly mild. Out the back my new gardening lad has made a start on cutting back the jungle which has grown over the last two years. He hasn't found any Borneo tribesmen yet and says the drums I can hear each night are probably my imagination.

Out the front my neighbour with all the cars and trucks is home, having been and come back about 5 times this morning. Now i think he's knocked off early, but his son and his wifes cars are missing and still to return.

The man opposite went out for his paper as usual but has been indoors ever since. His neighbour is having the storm damage to his roof fixed.

The usual clutch of learner cars are shuffling past at intervals, practising three point turns and reverse parking, using my neighbours truck and car to park between. He hates that and will probably go out and kill the next one to do that.

The seagulls which normally roost on the aerial of the house opposite are gone, so I dont know if that means bad weather is coming or good weather is coming.

Im bored again :(

Well the men in yellow coats have now all finally gone. Whatever the problem was it must have been terminal since a different bigger recovery truck turned up and they put the recycling truck on the flat-bed and took it away much to the relief of the nice man from Asda. At least the customer he had delivered to kept him supplied with tea during the meantime. The police did find it somewhat amusing whilst stopping additional vehicles entering the street to add to the chaos.

Now out the back interesting things are going on - something is on fire on the other side of the motorway. Probably local chavs burning out a stolen car again. There is a man on the roof of a house fixing the aerial for someone. If he keeps it pointed that way they ain't going to be happy because it will get HTV Wales and S4C from Wenvoe rather than English HTV and Channel 4 from our local relay mast :-?

The men from the council are emptying a garage of all the contents. The person renting it must have stopped paying since it is all going in a big skip. Too many empty garages down in the garage site - that means sooner or later the council will sell it off for houses that will overlook my back garden :x Still being about 15 feet above the site we will overlook their bedrooms so if a nice young lady moves in that might be a consolation

Looks like the banger racing man has a meeting this weekend since they have 3 cars being prepared in his workshop and garden. Really must go down to one of those meetings to watch him race.

Yes - I'm bored too. Nothing much doing at work right now - waiting on answers to a lot of questions before I proceed.
