Re: What's happening outside your house???
Looked out the front and the black cat from across the road was sat on the sunroof on my car. I can fire the central locking from inside the house

Re: What's happening outside your house???
I too love this facility of modern cars. It's very quiet here, so if late night returnees from the local come meandering up the lane, I can do the (three, with a Vauxhall) button pressing thing so the central locking goes "clonk-clonk-clonk" (which is inordinately loud in the silent night) and the car flashes its indicators at them in an area of complete darkness with no streetlamps.
On one occasion, I was treated to a conversation along the lines of:
[Clonk-clonk-clonk]
"Was it us that did that?"
"Er?"
"Do you think it can hear us?"
Definitely

It's completley quite outside mine, What i've done with my dad's car a bunch of 13 years were hanging around it so i used the remote to put the "follow home" light function and they thought it was the alarm
Volvo V70's are good for that

Re: What's happening outside your house???
I hate to say this, but about six hours after I said that nothing ever happens outside my house in this village, the gentleman across the road (who restores vehicles) had two old bikes nicked.
If anyone does happen to get offered some cheap antique bike spares....?

The rain is lashing the windows as the storm force winds continue to batter us. Other than that neither man nor beast has ventured forth yet so far.

Re: What's happening outside your house???
One of my cats seems to be stalking another cat, whilst my other cat is stalking my first cat... How confusing! Erm, its also windy and rainy, but its only a drizzle really, so its not all bad =D
Re: What's happening outside your house???
Not alot really.
A blue Clio I have never seen before with a personal regestration in the houses drive across the road, all the trees and pretty much everything are blowing like crazy in these gale force winds.

Re: What's happening outside your house???
It looks nice outside here, but looks can be deceiving as its still blowing a gale.
My next door neighbours have all departed for the day to various points of the compass. Two of their three cars have gone along with the truck and one trailer
Opposite they havent ventured forth for the daily newspaper yet.
My cleaning lady is here "doing" for me.
The learner drivers companies are using my road for training today, so we have had a succession of different companies cars turning up to do three point turns, with varying degree's of success. Sometimes I feel like holding up a score sheet like the judges in a Come dancing program
The postman just walked by on the opposite side of the road, that means he'll be here in about 30 minutes. The usual clutch of dog walkers are parading up and down, pretending to be enjoying the bracing weather when in fact they are freezing to death and regretting buying that dog (I expect).
Despite my front flower bed being completely overgrown with weeds, not having been tended to for two years, it is showing a marvellous spread of daffodils which have managed to force their way through the weeds and tangled undergrowth. Ive got a new gardener starting tomorrow so hopefully things will start looking neater soon.
And as you may have guessed by the length of this post, Ive nothing to do this morning while im "done".
