Anyone for cauliflower

Post by eyore »

My first 3dc model...

Now, all I have to do is learn how to texture, shade, export to sim, do a cabview and adjust engine physics. Oh, and build a tender.

There have been quite a few seriously good first models recently.

Congratulations - Lovely to see :)

Now that is looking beautiful - and I'm a narrow gauger!

Eventually got this far....

...unforunately I can't upload it to the sim. So back to the drawing board!

So what sort of problems are you having with the export? There's nothing I can see that should keep it from working in the sim except maybe too many poly's and it doesn't look like that is the problem. I've managed to get all sorts of things into the sim with the right amount of massaging. I suspect your project just needs a bit of that itself.

The project exported to MSTS and created the necessary files but when I try to use the engine in game I get an immediate send/dont send.

When trying to view the object in SFV I get error 91, "Object variable or With block variable not set"?

First 2 things to check...

1) make sure there are no spaces in the group names in 3DC

2) make sure there are no spaces in the texture file names.

Checked both and there are no spaces in either name type.

Next thing to do is e-mail the S file to me and I'll run it though the analyser :)
