Hi all,
was commuting back from kings lynn yesterday afternoon whilst I saw a 325 parked up at Hornsey.
Is this there for tyre turning at all?
Cheers

Hornsey Depot are investigating the possibility of doing general/heavy maintenance on the 325s - provided sufficient spare capacity exists on top of the job of maintaining the FCC fleets. You can see the logic - they are operated by GBRf (FirstGroup), and are structurally, electrically & mechanically Class 319s, with a few Networker bits.

At present it is, but GBRf may consider it more cost-effective for the work to be transferred to Hornsey - hence the dispatch of a unit for trial purposes. Wembley is now a London Overground depot, and it may be that LOROL need the space for the Class 378 phase-in.
