Birmingham to Tamworth Route uploaded but

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Birmingham to Tamworth Route uploaded but

Post by jetgriff »

When I read the rules it states no copying other peoples work, now, this route because I did as it says and used the Bath route as a template it contains the Bath route as well, as no instructions were given how to remove the tiles or whatever with it on its still there, but i figure we all have it and have paid for it and the new route will not work without you having the paid version of the CD... But its a good easy way of creating routes using templates because all the google co-ords are there.
Any ways we will see what can be arranged..

Its complete from Saltley loco to Tamworth, the last mile into New Street needs a lot more work as it involves tunnels different grades and a lot o track, but its a good example of how easy this Rail Simulator is to use when you get used to it.

But you can let your Black 5 rip along the straight from Washwood Heath to Water Orton.. we will see what happens

As of this moment in time, the filesize is given as 0.00 Megs....

yes I saw that, it would not upload the zip file when I used the ordinary method so succesfully uploaded it by the FTP method, if you hold tight should appear soon.. cheers, my gosh this is hard work using a programme for the first time, particularly Rail Sim, it seems to have a mind of its own and when you think everything is going ok it self changes... at least on the route the 2 expresses work ok (or did!!) the freight you just have to set the road as you go, you are the signalman as well. enjoy

You don't need to open an existing route and delete everything, there's a "New" button on the main routes screen which allows you to start a new route from scratch.

Sorrry to say it's a no go for me also the unpackager said installed succcesfuly, but on trying to run it there is no sign of it in the routes section.

Just the default routes are showing, looks like it's vanished into the depths of Rail Simulator but only god knows where.

I am worried by the need to download scenary objects, surely the RS packager should package them automatically otherwise when we get routes with lots of custom objects used, there's going to be a problem.
