Geordie Frostbite
Just a post to say a big thank-you and well done to the creator of this scenario, thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was one of the first privately made 'downloadable' scenarios I have been able to complete without getting an error, signalling bug or AI collision somewhere along the line.
Great use of the various stock now available to fill the route too, good effort hope you can make some more scenarios soon.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Thanks for that.
Taken a while to get to grips with the game in general.
I found Pathing A1 trains being a big problem , e.g tried to path the two coal trains near the Newcastle end of the route via Dunston as they start on the freight lines at the back of the station, just got error messages!.
Thats how they ended up on the mainline.
Might make another scenario before i change my focus to a bit of route building or alterations.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
With regard to the stock list, how do I install both BR Parcels vans if they have the same folder name 'BR_Blue' and overwrite each other? Or am I missing something obvious here?

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Adam if you have all the stock installed, the only thing i can think of is trying to delete and re install it !.
Re: Geordie Frostbite
What do you mean by that. All the assets or the whole Rail simulator.whittaker wrote:Adam if you have all the stock installed, the only thing i can think of is trying to delete and re install it !.
Also, whily manually install various assets, there is a request to delete so file.
My question is, after every installation or at the end of all process of copying.
Thanks.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
No just the Scenario.
This can be done in the package manager.
As for the file to delete when installing assets manualy,do you mean the Blueprints.pak file !.
This file renews itself every time the game is opened.
so it needs to be deleted.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Unfortunately, still continue to crash, so it seems to me that I'll give up on this activity.
Anyway, thank you for your support.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Strange game this is. Funny how this is the first scenario I have been able to run to completion with no problems yet others can't even get it to install??? Likewise I have not been able to run other scenrios that others seem to have no issues with.
What the hell is going on? and what is this awful AI collision rubbish when halfway through a scenario I have an almighty crash on empty track?? infuriating when you have been running a route for over an hour!!

Easy Jimmy, everyone is still feeling their way around.
Personally I loved the rollercoaster route available. Not managed to get round it without derailing yet.

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Well, after a couple of days pulling my hair out and looking at error log's I finally got all the content required to run it installed correctly so rail sim didn't crash when I tried to load the route. I am not sure why it caused me so much trouble, something to do with the blue and maroon MK1's (Maybe I didn't read the readme properly!)
Anyway, took it for a spin this morning and it was great fun
Well worth the wait, I just loved the amount of yellow lights in this really kept me on my toes!

Re: Geordie Frostbite
Happy to see someone else managed to load it ok.
I think the key to installing this is having the right stock installed correctly,i had lots of probs with the maroon mk1s when i first installed them myself.(to the point of pulling my hair out).
The way i check stock is installed correctly is by using the free roam play and open the editor, then try to place the stock i have installed.
and then exit the game without saving the changes.
If you can see the stock at least you no its there and working .
To do this i think you need the DEV tools installed.

Re: Maroon Mk1 Coach Set
I'm trying to install this Coach but not exactly understand the following instructions:
"Make a backup copy of your Mk1FK default folder (the number textures will be replaced)
Unzip the package and place in your Rail Simulator folder
(note there are Rail Simulator and (no space) RailSimulator folders)
Answer yes to update folders"
Into which Rail Simulator folder mean the writer to place package.
Thanks.
