HST MTU

The SMS sound system in MSTS 1 has been quite well understood for some time, but there are still new things being learned as well as a wealth of information about what's already known that you can learn here.

HST MTU

Post by 37180sirdyfed »

Without sounding like I'm opening another can of worms... I'm just curious to see what sound files everyone is using for the HST MTU...I can't make my mind up which files are best..

Hi,

I uploaded a sound mod which aliased to a German MTU locomotive sound set and the class 50 horn last year, though my sms mod is not very accurate however sadly :(. I have seen on Carl Westwood's new HST reskins that he uses the Dash 9 sounds. But its what you prefer to use mate :). I used the (I think BR210) MTU sounds which I linked to with my mod because you do get a nice start up/shut down noise with the "V" key

I'm using your ones :D though I've aliased the the horn to the EB HST. Seems a good combination, and like you say the start up/ shut down sequence is a nice bonus.

Cheers
